About the event

Join us at WaterFire Vineyards for gentle yoga! Practicing alongside the peaceful vineyards, the 60-minute class will include gentle movements at a slower pace, perfect for beginners and regular practitioners. You can expect an opportunity to stretch and strengthen your body, with an additional focus on yogic breath work and basic meditation. The class will include time for relaxation as we disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our daily schedules. No experience is necessary, and the entire class will be guided. Please plan to bring a yoga mat and possibly a large towel or sheet for under your mat on the ground. A few mats will be available if you are traveling from out of town and didn’t bring one.

Dates: Thursday, August 8th at 5 PM Cost: $35 for the class and a glass of wine afterward.

Testimonial from our last class participants: "Great class! I am a beginner and enjoyed this yoga class. Relaxing, great views, birds singing, and a great glass of wine."

"Yoga at WaterFire was delightful! The birds and frogs offered a gentle symphony as a backdrop to a relaxing morning."

About your instructor: Peg  Whisler is a passionate yoga teacher who has been practicing for the past ten years and teaching for the last 7. She is currently teaching at  Elk Rapids Yoga Flow in the village of Elk Rapids. Her initial 200-hour  training was a vinyasa flow style of practice, where the emphasis was placed on connecting your movements with your breath in a flowing type of practice. Since then, she has continued to pursue advanced teacher training, including Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra. Peg is currently working on her next level of certification and is developing a teaching approach for a slower embodied style of practice, designed to emphasize feeling the practice of yoga in our bodies and making healing choices for what we are experiencing. She will be a 500hr Registered  Yoga Teacher (RYT) in the summer of 2024.
