Learn the basics of Fly Fishing from world-renowned Fly Fishing Instructor Jeff "Bear" Andrews while enjoying a glass of wine.
Bear is a 3-time world record setter through the International Game Fish Association and is the youngest person ever to receive the Buz Busek Fly Tying award, the highest honor a fly tier can receive. Known for his educational skills and conservation focus, Bear is right at home in our Sustainably farmed Vineyards.
During the class, you will learn all the basics of Fly Fishing with the equipment provided. You will learn casting on the "Soggy Dog" pond that lies down the hill from WaterFire's tasting room. This class is designed for anyone who has ever been curious about the sport and would be an excellent activity to do with your partner, especially if you are looking for a new hobby together.
The event is expected to last two hours. Space is extremely limited, so instruction can be personalized for you. The cost for the evening is $110 per person and includes the instruction and a glass of wine. Waders will not be necessary, but you should wear clothes suitable for being out in nature at the edge of a wetland
